    Sir, I said I don't go around to OTHER COMPANY THREADS, for example, like Swift, Werner and the like and make comments like you do here on May Trucking. You don't even work for May Trucking, which seems so weird to me that you feel the need to interact the way you do here.

    My comment, which was a play on your snarky remark to me from you THREE DAYS prior to my comment on Joker's thread. Compare the time stamps. When you made your comment at the beginning of this thread, I didn't know you from Adam.

    In case you forgot, Joker works for May Trucking too. His thread was posted on the May Trucking section of this forum.

    Please stop calling me a liar.

    There's nothing to figure out.

    The thread was written by me to specifically address questions and misnomers about May Trucking's idling policy.

    I intend for it to be an opportunity for new guys who are considering going to work for May Trucking. To evaluate the policy from someone's perspective who actually works for May and whether or not it would be something they could live with as a new employee of this company.

    However, as is often the case in chat forums, they end up going sideways and completely off-track from the original intent of the thread.

    In reality, very few entry level drivers coming into May will ever even come to a forum like this anyways.

    oh ok, however there are a lot of entry level drivers that do come to this forum. You are right about the threads going side ways and off track. But if we keep responding when the topic gets side tracked then it will continue to go sideways.

    Yup they charge for idling, was one of those lucky poeple. But just move on!!! there are way better companies than May Trucking where can't get miles lol!!!

    Mays idle policy is 10 percent in winter (bunk heaters so not an issue)
    40 percent in summer. This means you can idle 4 hours for every 10 you drive. Sleep tight and drive safe with the sleep you get for the other 6 hours of your ten hour break. You will not sleep well.
    If you are without a load, better not idle that day. Just dehydrate and pet fluffy before he dies.
    If you go over you will be charged. You will sign an agreement to this in orientation.
    And before the koolaid sippers come on....yes, some dm' s and terminals are very liberal and will not charge for over idle. However, others will.

    Apparently a small settlement was issued for $200 for the idle policy. However, may continues to use the policy.
    Also, you sign an arbitration agreement at orientation which states all disagreements will be settled in mediation. This severely limits your civil rights to sue. It minimizes you to arbitration, if any.

    They would throw you in jail for leaving a dog in a hot vehicle but some companies expect you to live in the discomfort. Your corporate pencil pushers will go home to their families and their central air. If you are not equipped with an APU I wouldn't work for a company that treats you less than a dog.
