Never heard of bonnie offering a mileage pay increase. She does reduce the truck payment though.

Guess I will have to play hardball come July and demand a new 680 for $500 a week.

I have been runing hard. Delivered a full day early in ogden and actually got a preplan to a loaded trailer going to bakersfield CA. Works good with what I have left on the logbook too.

Sure wish stevens would run like this more often.

UnloAded in fountain , co this after noon. Then went deadhead to holcombe,ks to pickup a meat load to take to Birmingham,al. ( family there plus grew up there ). And then to place city,fl. Got some good miles since I've been out. Hope it stays like this.

Flight appreciate the tip on backing. But I love backing these trailers. Had another test tonight when I dropped my trailer in holcombe to get this trailer I have now. ( which was ready when I got there ) had no problem backing into there.

When I was in the towing business. I used to hook up to a 53 ft trailer and practice backing.

But I am enjoying the time out.

I had a pretty amazing month. Ended up with 13000 miles for this 5 weeks. The bills got paid and I continue to learn more everyday.
Spending some time at home right now, today is day one so 4 more days and then back to the grind. Hope the miles continue to increase the way they have.
I am done with grad now, just a regular driver now. Haha, as silly as it seems it feels good to know that I continue to progress as a driver.
Hoping I can get into a bigger truck sometime, the 660 is closing in on me a bit.
    Be safe, Shifty.

I was the same way. Was one of the top in my class backing with Daddyb. After that driver said I hit his mirror I have had confidence issues all the time. Try to schedule my days where I run at night and park when there is little competition for spots in the truck stop. Wish it wasnt that way but Im not taking any chances till my confidence gets better. Its all a process!!!

Thanx for the nod on the backing shifty!! but i still say that confidence is worth more than the skill. that guy was trying to pull a fast one on a new driver. know your good and do what you do. hesitation and fear will only create more problems! you dont have to be good. just good at it!!

I can't remember how I backed at first. It was so long ago, I'm not sure they had invented reverse yet.:biggrin_2559:

The 680 does have the same style nose, just narrowed. If you look closely you will see that the cab extender projects out like the 660. The mirrors are longer to make up for it. The interior is more similar to the 700 then the 660. I like them a lot, really hope I can wiggle my way into one when we start to buy them!!! The dash and stearing wheel look amazing, I love the new style.
