What's up everyone? I took 6 days at home last week that turned into almost 7. Very nice. I was out almost 6 weeks (couple of days short) Miles are good, weather has been pretty good, truck is good. Congrats to Boomer1, seems he is about to take the next step. No real paticulars to mention. It's kinda like Johnny Cash said "I've been everywhere".
Oh wait, I think Pittsburgh is worth mentioning. Check out the telephone poles. Mirror scrapes everywhere. Very tight. Also hilly, you might think your in San Francisco and whoever designed the street system in New Jersey, Wow.
I think I am going for another 6 week run this time out. I do draw a goose egg with the long hometime but it sure is nice. The kiddo gets out of school first week of May so I will need to pack her home. The wife is working on getting time off work so she can go out with me for a week at the end of April.
I am really enjoying the driving and closing in on my first 50 thousand miles. Everybody have fun and be safe.

Good to hear Mojo. 50k miles in about 4 months roughly (maybe closer to 5)? That is some great miles and good paychecks!
Stay safe out there.MojoPotatoe Thanks this. -
Thanks RDucky,
Learning daily with plenty of room for improvement.

Kinda missed seeing you around here. I hope that doesn"t sound weird?

I have been busy 4 nights a week going to the local technical school working on getting my CDL. Two nights range, two nights road driving, and class work in between times.
Will finish up at the end of April and hopefully pass the CDL test. I am just playing things by ear right now as far as where I go when I finish. I have a few companies in mind to apply with. Still looking to add a few more to the list.
Other than that, just lurking around TTR when I have time
MojoPotatoe Thanks this. -
Have you checked Crete out?
-
Yeah. Not real fond of them. They would be a last resort.

Congratulations on getting your own truck Boomer! I look forward to seeing you on the Road. I will give you a call next week when you get off hometime so I can get all of the details.

Today I received the QC I dreaded. I have been moved to what they call a "permanent dispatcher". Oh I knew it was coming but......... I really enjoyed Opie. Very patient, understanding ,ect, ect. A great training dispatcher. Good miles, good instructions and kind even when I screwed up. Once again all I keep experiencing with this company is quality. I was with Opie for 3 plus months. Another update: My class at Trenton was 6 people. All six of us earned our CDLs. One left before testing out with his trainer. The rest of us all are in our own trucks. I am the 3rd to receive a permanent dispatcher. Those are the stats, and this was my story. The good, the bad, and the ugly.
