    >>>shaking head.........WHY would you sign a 5 year lease...geez
It is a little to late now to ask for help but I would take stringlessyoyo's point..lawyer up! It will be the only way out of the lease agreement besides bad credit and possibly a few dings on your dac. Good luck man! I hope it all works out...what a shame

    agreed.

Can you get some type of legal advise?
Read the ''lease'' paper work cover to cover.
Get the company book on what they require before you can sign a lease?
    Read policy/procedures.

This just makes no sense to have someone with basically ZERO experience sign a lease????

I have accepted every load and I mean EVERY load they sent to my cab. They even cancelled a load for 1500 miles when I was at the pickup and then turned and gave me a 2 pick up / 1 drop off of 400 miles. So I took a huge loss, of miles and time. I took all loads because I wanted to make money. I got to every load on time, actually early for most places. And after all that, now all the miles come to a stop and I am working for their pockets.

I cannot lawyer up. They didnt/wouldnt give me a copy of the lease. They said they will have to have it scanned into their system and will mail it to me.... On my 4 week run and still no lease....

wow that right there should have been a sign, my husband got a prehire for trans am, now I know not to send him there since they shove their lease down your throat. I'm sure you have a case especially with them not giving you a copy of the lease. & you should have never left without a copy either no matter what they said about scanning it, I feel for you we are putting everything on the line ourselves with my husband in trucking school & 3 kids but It seems that trans am saw a sucker coming.

First lesson in trucking: DO NOT LEASE A TRUCK!!!!! I've said this 10,000,000 times. You are new to this. You don't know the first thing about driving let alone running a trucking business. That is not a slam either. You just don't know anything. It takes years of experience in any field to master it and then strike out on your own. The promises of big money and "freedom" and "ownership" is a crock. I don't care what company it is. It's not designed for you to succeed. Please, all you new drivers coming in, drive a company truck. I still do. Ten years later. Make #### good money and I don't owe the company a dime, plus their truck, their headache. Save yourself and don't sign a lease contract!!!

Call around and see if there are any other companies willing to take you on. Explain the situation about the lease program and how it isn't working out. You may get a sympathetic recruiter willing to give you a shot. Once you get the go ahead from another company turn the lease truck in asap. Your families well being means more than the threat of a lawsuit.

As for the lawsuit angle they "could" file a civil suit against you but all you have to do is file a challenge to the suit. This process can take the better part of a year to even get on the docket. Most carriers will not waste their time paying a lawyer to chase a bad debt from a new driver that doesn't have any assets.

Call their bluff and turn in the truck as soon as you can line up another job. And for Pete's sake DON'T DO ANOTHER LEASE!

You can lawyer up. Go tell a lawyer they won't give you copies of a lease. See what happens. Also tell the lawyer what happened. He'll straighten it out.
