This is an article I wrote on my site. I use the products my self. Its a great way to clean up in your truck when you can't take a regular shower.

I have found that baby wipes work when I don't get a chance to shower.

Ditto, barring that, clorox wipes work too, but not on the face.

there is no reasono not to show I don't care how hard you run.

i have met many dirty truck drivers, who are just too lazy to get out and shower. Un shaved greasy faces and stainded shirts. They figure they are not gonna see anyone so why change.

Sure wipes are ok if you are elderly and ill and are not able to walk to the shower.

Sometimes it is not practical. There are times when I have to make the best of it. Here is what I do. If I unload and have to handle tarps when I get empty I send my MT message. They bounce me 2-4 hours MT to grab the next load with about that much time to make my pick-up. I do not have the time to stop and shower at that point. Plus in 2-4 hrs I will be tarping again and will be in the same condition after showering. When I get MT I find out when and where my pick up is. If I do not have time I strip butt naked and use wet wipes and face wipes that my wife buys. I put on clean dry clothes then bounce to get my load. After I am loaded I have a couple days to make my next drop. Then I stop and shower and change clothes.

Have you, or do you drive a truck? It is not always that easy.

I have seen many "regular" people that are the same way, not just truckers.

Clean is clean, doesn't matter how you get clean, as long as you are clean. American's are the only people that are obsessed with taking a shower 1 or more times a day.

As long as you are clean, does it matter how you got clean?

yeah I drive for crst as a team. my team run aroun 6k a week, and I shower alsmost every day.

when i get to the fuel pump my co pilot runs in gets a shower, I babysit the truck. and same when she fuels i go in and get a shower. all stops are planned and timed for no waiting or traffic or lines or whatever. our truck does not stop spur of the moment or "lets see what is up at the next exit" type deal. I keep the tuck moving and safe with planned stops and no uneccesary getting off the highways.

the job is not important than my hygene.

lazy, pee in the bottle or bucket types kill me.

    It is very unsanitary.

We were running hard the last four days and nope, didn't get a chance to shower. I still brush my teeth, wash my face and hands and use baby wipes and other wipes to keep all the "stinky" parts clean as possible. I change my clothes almost daily and I did NOT stink.

It's not always easy to find a CLEAN place to shower, especially when you're new to the industry and don't know where everything is yet. If you know the area and where everything is, it's great but, if not, it's hard to find somewhere to shower that's CLEAN.

I don't know why everyone seems to be obsessed with showering every day or more than once a day. Unless you're doing heavy, sweaty, dirty work, it's not necessary and it's actually not good for your skin or hair.

We shower every second day and keep clean in between.

I've seen people who are not truck drivers who REEK!! They can't be bothered to change their clothes, wash their faces, hands, use deoderant - UGH!!!!

You don't need to shower EVERY SINGLE DAY if you're sitting in an air conditioned truck driving or sleeping all the time, IMHO anyway.
