delivered my relay to east st louis drop yard and picked up another load at P@G
in edwardsville and relayed that back to the drop yard and now off for three days !

All considered it was a pretty good week, now to get things done at home.

I was driving the family home yesterday after a little vacation in Wisconsin Dells. We ended up going through Marshfield. I was going to show my youngest daughter the trucks I used to drive. That was until I found out the whole flippin' yard was gated off. Seriously? Marshfield? I can understand Gary but get real. I was going to stop in Prentice but she was sleeping by then. I would have really laughed if they gated the Prentice yard.

I am in the Pilot in Mt. Vernon, IL. What a cluster this place was to get fuel, and I was only getting 50 gallons. What a pain. So I call my Fm and he says to hole up here, that IF we are relaying this load this will be easier than East St Louis.

IF?! If I deliver this load to Utah on Monday, my Fm said it will be tough to get me home by Friday. I say Friday? I have plans for Saturday and I told you that Thursday was the day I wanted to be home anyways. I always give a day buffer. Now I called him before I even accepted the load to tell him I didnt have the hours. He said we would relay it some where along the way.

I dont want to be a jerk but I was due home this Saturday. I was staying out extra, till Thursday or Friday at the latest, so Easter weekend would be open for plans with my family. I might have to be a bit forceful when I speak to him later. I will give hime a call in a little while.

    Stay safe all!!!

In Marshfield tonight because I was supposed to get my EGR Valve replaced. My check engine light is on and the code its throwing is for the EGR. But they can't fix it here so I have to go to Appleton in the morning. Which is fine because I have a load to drop in Green Bay, but then my day will be wasted in Appleton.

Met my new FM in person today as well and we got to talking about my truck. He said he's doing what he can and then I told him it was an auto-shift and his demeanor changed. Told me that this information will help him in his quest to make this truck gone! Only time will tell.

Had my first Damaged/Short load today as well. Two stop load and the first stop took a pallet that wasn't theirs. Plus the load shifted between stops. Luckily only one box was refused for damage. Apparently, this is an on going issue with the Georgia Pacific Warehouse in Elwood. They aren't loading and marking the freight correctly. To sum up, I am not to blame...woohoo!

Time to play catch up again.... :/ Coatesville PA Sunday night, unload & reload there monday am..Vickery OH monday night, unloaded in Michigan tuesday morning, reloaded somewhere (I can't remember) ....He was in Florence KY last night, unloaded 2 stops in TN today and now he is sitting in Knoxville TN and he's reloading there tomorrow morning. He's supposed to be home tomorrow night because he has a doctor's appointment Friday, but the load he is picking up unloades Friday morning up around Gary somewhere.
His DSR says, call me in the am and we'll see if we can find a relay..... we all know what that means...

That stinks Treefork...Hope everyone is feeling better. We've had to deal with that too...broken bones & hospital visits when Dad's away...it really sucks on both ends.

    Treefork Thanks this.

Picked up my load in Woodbridge NJ...it was a live load...only took 30 minutes once I got backed in to load...and the joy of it all...its only 3300 lbs...and I have about 40 feet of empty trailer...Im headed to St Louis with it...and it must be a good paying load cause I am holed up in a service plaza on the PA turnpike...they renovated them really nice with boatloads of parking.....if only the truckstops had as much parking and as well laid out too.....
The routing computer must have fits with NJ...it tried to route me on US 1 to get to 287...the problem is that US 1 is a restricted route according to my trusty Rand McNally atlas of 2012...so I hopped on the NJ turnpike to make it to the shipper (oh and it was one of those no directions found one too...and their call in number for directions sucked...not to mention everything else about this shipper too...I really don't think this place has any OTR trucks show up cause getting in and out is a royal pain in the ### with all the backing and turning just to get in and out of the partially indoor dock...).
