Kujo, that is good for your first week.I bet I'm averaging 2300-2400 after 4 months,so you're doing great.Thats usually the way it goes here, you get to fri and have 17-1800 miles and then the whole week depends on what you get for the weekend.Sometimes you get a good load like you got or sometimes you get a crapper 5-600 mile load that delivers mon.Just have to go with the avg. in the long run. That's why fuel mileage make's such a big deal.
Skullfreak broke it down pretty good, but 7's not my goal,it's 8 that would make almost 10k difference on only 100k miles per yr.If a fellow could do 8 and drive 125k,that's a big bonus. And 125k is not that big a deal.

Since the Qualcomm reset last night I have driven 588 miles and it shows 8mpg average. That's running 60 I've tried several speeds and with the 3.36 rears I have 60-61 seems to be the best. Now if I can maintain that I'll be super happy. If not 7.5 is my minimum goal.

Thanks for sharing the different lease plans. Could you explain taxes for those plans?
-
There's no plans so to speak. Some of the costs like truck payment and insurance are based off the value of the truck. As for taxes you get a 1099 for your earnings. The fuel tax you pay quarterly. The rest are built into the other costs

Does ACT have a fuel network? Hoppefully a discount on fuel. If a network what is the primary fuel stop? (Pilot, Love's, ect.). Will be on the bus Sat. 3/31 for oreo 4/2. Will be tracking me #'s and when I get a chance to post here will try to keep it up to date as close as possible. And I hope to see you guys out there.

been looking at this thread for a week now and seriously looking into the ACT lease program. Been driving for 5 years now and this will be my first l/p adventure. My cousin has leased for two years now with another company and seems to like it and does well. So he'll help me with all the tips, tricks ect.. My question is, in the case for some reason it does not work out for me whats the penality for turning the truck in early at ACT..
-
Yes we use mostly Pilot with some Loves and now T/A locations. Average discount is about .25 per gallon off cash price.Skullfreak43 Thanks this.
-
Only penalty is you are responsible for lease payment until they lease it again. Usually it does not take long at all like the next week.

Thanks BigKid2, i've been reading your posts for a while. Seems like your doing good and like ACT. I know there's more to leasing than just driving and collecting the money. I think i'll be filling out an app in the next day or two..
BigKid2 Thanks this. -
Week 18
Empty Miles 74
Loaded Miles 959
Total Miles 1033
Total Revenue <634.12>
I'm in the negative because I took 10 days off to go to Amarillo to spend time with my folks.Had a great time and it was good to get out of the truck for a while.I take my time off this way so I can do things and get alot of stuff done.On my way from Dallas to Amarillo which was 400 miles (my fuel-no pay) I filled up,so that put me in the negative that week.I will be in the negative next week or two.I would tell all the lease driver's,if you want to take this much time off at one time,be prepared.
