You can go to DMV and get a 10 year print out of your record... That way you will know what is on there... Not sure how far back Central looks.passion4polishing Thanks this.

I've been scoping out these forums for the last month or so, and still had a few questions. Sorry if these have been answered elsewhere...
So my longtime girlfriend and I wanna team (we know the risks of being crammed in a truck for long periods
, and after some research, we think Central is the best option to get us started. Our records are clean, and the DOT physical will be a breeze, but the wellness test has us both a little worried. I saw in another post that you get a break between weights, but does everyone get a break, or is that only if your heart rate or bp start to go off the charts? How much of a break is it? Does everyone do the 25 lbs and then the line starts over with the 50lbs, or is it more like a 20 second rest if you need it?
Also, I'm curious to know what kind of trucks are giving to newbie teams. I've heard teams get newer trucks because they put more miles on them, but I also know that any newbie has to prove themselves before they get a lot of miles, or maybe even a decent truck. What are the newbie teams getting these days?
Thanks in advance, I know you guys will give us some great info as always

typcially a speeding ticket only counts 3 years back. after that you can't see it anymore.
UNLESS you ask for your whole history. and yes. utah has every ticket i've ever received on record. not just 10 years.passion4polishing Thanks this. -
I puled my 7 year certified, but since it has a ticket from 4.5 years ago, I know a full report will have the other one too. Central is reeeally dragging their feat on getting paperwork done for me because my date is still 3 weeks away. I didn't tell them about it yet because I havent been able to get ahold of my recruiter since i thought of it, but it doesn't seem like an 8 year old ticket should be a problem if its not reckless/careless or DUI. Thanks for the help, but i guess this is something only my recruiter can answer for me.

for insurance purposes. tickets usually only go 3 years. after that, insurance doesn't care. since your record only really goes back 3 years. tickets are usually dropped to the back burner and the only way to see them is pull up the full history.
i think recruiters are paid on commission. much like the military i'm sure. so they'll tell you anything to get you into class. -
hi
Newbie here about to go to school with Central in GA. I'm not sure when yet. thanks for all of the info you have put in this thread. -
your probally gonna have to go to salt lake city for school. the georgia school has in the past only been for ga residents. but they could have changed that but you really should go to slc if all possiable that way you can learn the main terminal and meet the people that you are gonna need to know.

I live in Florida, and I'm going to Conley as well. The first week is in Conley and the second is in SLC. Should be there 23APR, so maybe I'll see you there bama kid.

I thought the 2 weeks was in Conley and then go to slc? I could be wrong though....im probably going to start on the 23 also.
