No sense in arguing the sense of the law(s), SM and DB are just enforcers (and pretty ###### fair about it IMO).

    keepntruckin and jbatmick Thank this.

Ha, I've met quite a few that were as smart as a brick. Saw one weighing an empty cattle trailer on a set of permanent axle scales in Granville Ohio. Had another follow me in a lumberyard and insist that he was going to write me a ticket for having the rear flap of a Conestoga open. Too stupid to know the difference between a van door and a tarp. Needless to say I didn't get the ticket after his boss educated him.:biggrin_2559: I'm not saying they're all stupid, but on the other hand don't assume they were all A+ students, even a D is passing. That goes for pilots and doctors as well.:biggrin_25525:

Oh and if one pulls you over and informs you they "used to be a truck driver" lower your expectations dramatically.:biggrin_2559:

The law is what the dude with the gun sez it is... He's got the gun. Until you can convince a judge the law means something else.

What if the "dude with the gun" you refer to isn't the only one with a gun? What if the "dude with the gun" isn't even the one with the biggest gun? Then what?

i ran into a dot boy like that once he proceded to check me out couldn't find anything wrong. could tell it was upsetting him. before he let me go he proceded to tell me he used to be a driver to. i couldn't help myself, i said failed at that too huh? i was the only one laughing(inside of course) as i walked back to my truck to leave. after that i learned a little saying that i remind myself everytime i'm in that situation (shut up stupid) it works!!:biggrin_25525:

Half the fun of life would never be experienced if people just knew when to shut up.:biggrin_25525:

....of course if you ARE that person, what happens may not be quite as much fun.:biggrin_2559:

Fax machines are outdated, clunky, unreliable tech anyway. I've got an aircard, a laptop, and that same all in one printer. So if I'm missing something, all I have to do is give them what I got, tell them I'll keep digging for the other thing, msg the boss to email it to me, print it out in the back, and come out with it like I had it all along. Easy. :biggrin_25511:
