The guy (missed the name) wanted to know how my life was and what they could do to get me back. Anyone else get this?

Apparently this is common practice of too little, too late. 1andonly and a few others got the same call. Maybe Swift should walk the driver retention talk. Maybe the dm who loses a good driver to another company should get penalty points.

I got a call this week. My former mentor who recently left Swift after 9 years gets the call once a week BEGGING him to come back.

He was told they are having a lot of trucks turned in all over the country and they need experienced drivers. Maybe someone will get a clue that driver retention is important and take some positive steps to making drivers want to stay in the cabs of Swift trucks.

    AZS and southeastdriver Thank this.

So, what are you waiting for?

You have a ticket to write.
    WRITE IT!!!!

Say, I want this, and I want this, and this.

And let the chips fall where they may.
    Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Swift is not the worst company to work for.
And if you can get them to pay you what you think you are worth, well, ...

    Gears and AZS Thank this.

The problem moosetek is I would be talking to dead air after I got through the first requirement! (would need $.09/mi more just to match what I'm getting now) But it's good that they might finally (maybe) being proactive about wanting to keep people.
