Home until Monday now. Was going to go back out Sunday but they didn't have anything for me so Monday it is. Fine with me though. Getting another student next week. Guess I'm picking him up in Upstate NY somewhere.

I am at a rest haven at the state scale in KY off I24.....got to my cons early in STL...what a crappy place to get in and out of...narrow roads and narrow docks with lots of things to hit while backing up...made it unscathed...can't say the same about a few curbs I had to run over making turns...but no damage to the trailer...took it easy on the turns....
got my next load plan while I was on the way to GATT to get some DEF and to scan paperwork...picked up at Kraft..was on the plan as a live and it was a Drop and hook...:biggrin_25525: sweet...and its a load going to Lakeland FL...great miles...(I am enjoying my new FM now...he gives me longer loads rather than all the short runs)...
Well get my Bills and find my trailer...took my walk around and BAM!! a chunk of rubber missing out of a sidewall:biggrin_25510:...called maint..was told to go back to GATT with it to get fixed...finally go in..and then I waited for about 4 hours before I got rolling again....cause the tire guy didn't want to put a new tire on the crappy rim and had to get Roehls approval for a new rim......the kicker is I had to take the tire and rim with me...so I just bungeed the rim to the catwalk and the tire to the back of the sleeper...(had to get xtra bungees too):biggrin_25510: I didn't want a dirty tire in my clean truck...

So you got a massage (the drop hook), then the beat down to remind you that you are still a truck driver and if it can go wrong, it will! :biggrin_2559:

I am back in Gary. Dropped my load in Kalamazoo, MI and got a load to Luck, WI for Monday morning. I figured I would reset my hrs and leave early on Monday morning. Getting some laundry done and grabbed a shower. Just sitting in the driver's lounge b.s'ing with other drivers. Stop by and say hey if your in Gary. I got my Yankees hat on, as usual.

    Stay safe all!!!

Ellenwood...came here to drop off the bad tire and rim and got stuck here cause they wanted to change ALL the tires..including the new one because it was mismatched...by brand....so another 4 hours wasted in my day....still no sleeper AC...wondering when they are going to get me to Freightliner to get it fixed....have a preplan for pickup in Tampa tomorrow to deliver by noon the next day in Alabama...

Mic if it gets too hot make em pay for a hotel. They will and then they will get you in for AC service. Made them get me a hotel for almost 10 out of fifteen days. My AC got fixed. I just told my FM I needed a hotel and it wasn't safe since i could not get relief. This was during a very hot time, but still a safety issue.
    Good luck

Pilot off xit 358 in ocala FL its 90 degrees outside...sleep AC still no go...so I am going to Idle....have the park brake off but the trailer on...and the gas pedal wedged ...so far it has idled over 20 minutes.....yeah its going to shoot my idle percentage all to hell...but I am not going to boil in my truck and fight weekend dispatch for a hotel...I will just burn some fuel.....maybe it will light a fire under their ### to get this stupid apu ac worked on....

Mic just tell em you're idling to stay comfortable. It was an extra inconvenience for me to get in the hotel, but it was worth it. Heck I even got one in Ellenwood and it was not cheap lol.
