The turtle has arrived

Hello, all!

I'm from Ohio and am a lady with a love of Big Truckin since my Gramps first let me ride along in his rig when I was only 5. I'm a mother to an awesome little boy, who helped make up my mind about getting a CDL. Originally, I was going to school for Psychology, but a frank and honest look at what I really wanted in life put me on the course for my CDL. I would rather be on the open road seeing the sunshine, than stuck in an office talking about feelings.

I got the nickname "Turtle" when I was preggo with my son. Seriously, you get stuck on your back once when preggo...and people start cracking out the nicknames. After my son was finally evicted from Hotel Uterus, the "Mama" part was permanetly affixed to the nickname.

As far as interests go...is steak an interest? Because I grill one mean steak. I joined this forum for advice, insight, and to meet people with a similar love of Truckin'. As for what made me get involved? It was my son. The short version is that his dad screwed us both over and decided that he only cared about what he wanted and to hell with both of us. I made my mind to leave one school (since I really couldn't wait another year to get my degree), and get into another (I accomplish a goal of mine, do something I love, and get to provide my son with everything he needs).

I'm looking for an employer with a Family Rider Policy, so I can be with my boy as much as possible.
