Turbo for 2000 volvo 12.7 liter detroit

    I'm looking to replace my stock turbo,but i told by my parts store that the 171702 BW would not fit.

    i believe your parts man is wrong. i have the same setup in a 99 volvo. i run a 171702. the factory turbo, and probably the one he is crossing over to has a wastegate. the bw does not. no big deal at all. you will really like the 171702. johnny

    I got the 171702 on my 99 Detroit S60 engine. It got it from TruckPro.
    It has larger fins and no waste-gate.
    I think it was designed for the 14L engine but works fine on the S60 12.7 when you run 500+ HP.

    I believe the stock turbo is only designed UP to 500HP.

    You wont regret it. I will be calling him soon. I had my ECM tuned but not as well as I wanted it (not by him...).
