oil shale is hiring anyone with cdl and chem-clean for frackwater tankers but you have to go find the classified yourself as only by showing up at field office will do you any good

Are you looking for local work? If so do you speak spanish, I ask in all seriousness. You can find local gigs in la try searching the mexican newspaper classifieds or go knocking but as I mentioned youll need to know spanish. Pay will be 10-14 an hr good luck driver. If youre willing to go otr stay away from crst crengland and swift they seem to be for sure bottom of.the barrel

Thanks for the quick responds. Yes I speak Spanish. Wow really didn't know those OTR companies are no good. I was going to call them. At this point I'll take OTR if I can't find anything local

Hey Chech, and welcome.
What I need to tell you, you may not like.
Since you have not been driving since you got your license??
You may be told by any hiring company, "Go back to school for a refresher".
It is imperative that anyone graduating school, get on the road ASAP.
No matter who hires them, "GO RIGHT NOW, and git it done".
But sadly, too many people think they are too good of themselves to go OTR and "git it done" and over with.
Had you gone OTR right after graduation???
you would have right now, at the very least, 6 months of time behind the wheel, making you VERY employable at nearly ANY place you wanted to go to.
But right now, you are so far behind, it's not even funny.
Consider talking with your former school for a refresher course, and see what they will charge you, then "git it done".
Best of luck to you. -
Yep. Roehl said if going there it had to be within 90 days of graduating and getting a CDL.
I don't know if that was official company policy or just the recruiter we saw.

It used to be 60 days, but the recruiter is correct (may have bumped it up a bit). They will make you go back to school. And by the way, Rohel also had a pay back policy if you went to them first. If someone goes to them as a "second or third thought"??, One can forget being reimbursed for any training they had to pay for.
Like I had said, "too many think too high of themselves" to even consider going OTR. Like they are "owed something", just because they are recent gradumacates of a trucking CDL Mill. -
what I am doing is digging newspapers online ~ not all of them put their classified online but I am not going to go to a school to do something I could do when I was ten years old but I will scrounge newspaper classified,....just be prepared for lot of work looking

Believe it or not, I found my job on Craig's List. It is (to me) a very good job. Just like newspaper ads, you need to "read between the lines" when responding to ANY ad on the internet.
NEVER, and I mean NEVER give out ALL your personal information online, like your SS number. You can always use a bunch of "Zero's" in those spaces.
You can also check with your state unemployment's job service. Many states have companies looking for employee's thru the dept of labor/unemployment office.
There are so many avenues to seek employment, that many people either totally ignore, or just don't know about.Chech3 Thanks this.
