Company driver with ACT

Need to learn to stay away from DOT Foods!! Our is at least an 8 hr wait to get loaded every time. Waste of time coming to these places.

 

That is true. Ha!

 

Finally got loaded in Joliet, IL after a long wait. Heading to Ardmore, Ok for a monday morning drop. Good weekend run, plus I get to spend a day at the house.

 

Delivered this morning and picked up in Ardmore, Ok. Heading to Lincoln, AL for tomorrow evening. I've been steady with the miles, around 2,600 a week.

 

Delivered in Lincoln yesterday. They deadheaded me to New Johnsonville, TN to get loaded this morning. Now, i'm parked at my drop in the am in Aurora, IL. Also, preplanned on a load going to Claycomo that also picks up in the morning.

 

Not sure yet. Happy the way things are going right now as a company driver. Going to talk to them about it next week.

 

They do keep me rolling. The company trucks are governed at 65. I have not went any farther west than I-35. I have heard we have some loads going farther west, but not that often. I've seen a driver going to Denver, and we do have loads going to NE. I have picked up more preloads than live loads in the time i've been here.

ACT is a very up front company. Have been a driver for over 10 years now, and so far, this has been the best driving job i've ever had.
