My definition of a good company-

    #1- good, safe, reliable equipment
#2- benefits (health care, 401K with employer matching)
    #3- fair load planning/dispatch

When you read the posts on this forum as a whole, most every complaint posted by unhappy drivers fall into one of the 3 items I listed above. To put forth a bit of effort to seek out trucking companies that offer those 3 items would is not that difficult. I am not here to do your homework for you.

I have 8 years OTR experience, both as a solo driver and a team driver. Refrigerated product, but spent a little less than a year hauling flatbed. I spent another 6 years as a dispatcher before becoming a truck broker of refrigerated and dry food products. I brokered for over 20 years before moving into a shipping/transportation position.

Just because you were curious to see if I was qualified to give any type of feedback and/or advice, I think that I have some bit of 'experience' to share with the members of this forum. I deal with numerous regional and nationwide carriers every day. I see their drivers and equipment. I keep my ear to the ground, so to speak, because the delivery of my product depends on the quality of carrier that hauls my product. On the flip side, because of my position in the industry, I can not nor will not endorse any carrier by name on a public, global forum.

I've met some pretty dern good people on this forum, my private message box has been hopping. I apologize if the delivery of my information does not suit your standards, Mr Numbers. But I kinda like it here, I think I'll sit a spell :D

I once had a load where I had to deliver on Saturday between 0700-1400. So I roll up on time only to find out the factory is closed for the weekend. Go ahead and deliver Monday. I ended up getting $300 in detention pay on that load since I sat with it from Saturday afternoon until Monday morning.

    JustChillin Thanks this.

They are I worked for them for 90 days, they treat newbies great, anyone with over 5 years experience gets low miles because they are making .40 cpm, 90 days mileage was as follows: 9100, 7800, 9300. And I only went home every 30 days, I was on the reefer side and must say after 21 years in that business this company had no business being in the reefer business,, and they wouldn't let me switch out of vans, so I bailed the hell out while I could.

I am not "Mr Numbers". You left out quite a bit of information. Don't apologize to me, apologize to those that were looking to you to give your opinon on what you thought was a good company by name.
