we have them on our flats. also in a plastic box
-
The one I want is designed to be mounted much like a tail light and with the exception of potentially being smashed in the dial - is weather resistant.

I've bought several from industrial supply stores, just tell them it will be recieving alot of bouncing since the needle seems to be the weakest point. You can buy them with the fitting on the back or the bottom.

Truck Pro is a distributor for these. $99
Works for me....

Don't mount it on the back of the trailer, I've never understood why people do this. We've had cops drive beside our grain hoppers looking at the pressure gauge trying to see if you overloaded. (put a regulator on one to stop that little trick. Load what you want and turn the regulator until the gauge shows what you want!
)
Mount it so it's hidden in case you do find a good paying load that MAY just be a bit heavy. No point advertising. -
Just bought 6 gauges with fittings for under $200 from new life/road equipment.

Well this thread just took a new direction....
I got a PM from a guy on here that introduced me to Air Weigh and while I had heard of that before,
I didn't know much about them. The gauge will show steers, drives and trailer.

I called him up today, we chatted and I got to speak to tech support about some pre-sales questions
and I went ahead and ordered the device and install kit.
Once I get it installed (about 2 weeks) I will follow up with some results and
photos along with my comments.
I like what I have seen so far and glad that someone here pointed this product out.
-JDAmerican-Trucker Thanks this. -
what's it costing?
-
$20 glycerin filled gauge at NAPA does the job.
If you want to waste money throw some my way!
