    Well just when I thought I was goin to have a nice two day weekend the csr up and changes my delivery to monday. Oh well at least freight is good and this load pays well so cant complain for bein busy :)

    You can go to walmart after you get your truck and pick all that stuff up if you so desire or wait until you get home to do it.

    And if you are like JET-Lag (my hubby) you could get a microwave, a CB, more clothes and take his cell phone and manage to get all that on a Southwest Airlines flight to go pick up his first truck LOL. It was much easier when he had to switch trucks because he took his old truck to the NLR terminal to pick up his new truck and he and I transferred everything between the two trucks at the terminal.

    Days like today are why there needs to be some flexibilty in the breaks. I didnt realize the customer had no overnight parking (my fault for not checking friday) so I left the house with the intent of taking an 8hr sleeper break at the customer. However since they didnt have parking I had to park elsewhere and disturb my break to deliver on time so now Im taking 8hrs sigh. That was just the start of ny monday lol. Wrong address then wrong consignee (shipper screwup) then finally at correct place. Hope thats it for this week lol.

    I havent seen the propane injected trucks, but here in my hometown in Harrisburg, Illinois, we have a company that turns regular trucks into methane injection. Some drivers say they are getting a 3-5% fuel miliage increase.

    Grrrr Washington, DC traffic! Almost 10:00 and bumper to bumper traffic. Took a hour to go 10 miles to get on 495 only to hit bumper to bumper again.

    Finally made it at 11:00 to the Maryland line and traffic opened up. And yes, hubby was just saying how much he liked the auto. trans. during all that.
