I keep hearing theirs a driver, shortage in magazines, on the radio, etc!Now u know why!Who wants to live in truck weeks at a time, away from family and friends, and still not make enough money to support his or her family. Drivers are held accountable for their actions on the road, CSA points, witch will determine future employment , To be a safe driver to protect yourself and others around you!To secure loads properly, with pride in your work, keeping that load on the deck, and delivering undamaged.Hard working problem solvers yes, rewarding yes,a professional!!!,.26 a mile is disrespectful. To hard working flatbed drivers everywhere! And for guys that will say u have to start somewhere, yes your right, but don't start with a swift! Many flatbed companies to start with that will treat u with respect.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

well if you get anyone to hire on for that wage at the very least teach them some proper securment and tarping procedures, and give them a truck with a little more power cause if i can pass an 80k truck going up hill something is not right...
but again please teach them the right way to secure their load i have seen some scary stuff on swift flat bed trucks -
no thank you

no unemployment doesn't pay more than that

You know what the saddest part is? Swift was paying .25 cents per mile to start for van drivers back in 1998. I know because I started with Swift back then. Fourteen years later and the pay is only .01 cent more...and for flatbed yet! Sheesh.schmud0811 said: ↑Well technically we start at .26 cents a mile, we pay for tarping stops ect. Plus we have excellent health and dental benefits.Click to expand...
