cibc , td , bank of montreal, scotia bank are the big ones in ontario there is also small credit unions im with cibc and they are fine
-
I find Td the best... check and do stuff with your account over the phone or internet or in the bank. People really friendly too. And some places are open sunday too.
Capital one is a good credit card company.
I had dealing with cibc... lets say I will never ever have a cibc checking or commercial account ever again.
Not sure about other banks. -
All the banks are on line. Check them out before you get here to see which one suits you the best.
-
So they do not skin you at like a 28% interest rate ?
-
ive dealt with them all, currently at BMO, if next go around i get better rate at a different bank, off i go, just like last time
-
whats td sorry not sure what it stand for
-
TD - Toronto Dominion
I was with TD they were ok, RBC is better for me. -
Scotia bank and Royal are also good ones. I wouldn't worry about any them. Canada is rated #1 for having the best banking system in the world. The USA is either in 40th or 41st place.
-
They are five major banks and all are good.
TD Canada Trust
Scotiabank
Bank of Montreal or BMO
RBC or Royal Bank
CIBC
There are also some Credit Unions that are worth checking out. I've used VanCity here in BC and ATB in Alberta.
HERE is a huge list, probably more than you care to know about.
