I had Sprint here originally, it doesn't work worth a crap here. Verizon os the only company that has good coverage and there are still bad spots.

DH traded in his local carrier that roams on AT&T, for a Verizon pay as you go phone ($50 unlimited phone/text/data) and said he gets better service up there than he ever did here at home... of course, we don't exactly live in the midst of civilization here at home, either lol

If driving a truck is all you want to do, frac and cement is not what you want. You will be rigging up, down and everything in between... cement jobs usually are night jobs or both.

The worst part about ND is the cost of living 1000+ plus everything is more expensive here because of the boom just look at craigslist.

    http://nd.craigslist.org/apa/2930409425.html

A trailer is Ray for 1450 dollars a month! That's ludicrous...

All depends where you go. There are still reasonable places you just have to start talking to people and maybe get off the beaten path. Also, a lot of people around here aren't too crazy about us "oilfield trash" moving in. But, when they realize that you have a family and aren't going to be raising hell every payday, people miraculously start to remember places that might be for rent. I rent a 4 room house for 650 a month. There are apartments for rent in the town I live in, but I drive 40 miles to work, too. I guess I could just get a job with one of the outfits in town but I like working for Power Fuels, they treat me pretty good.
