Good point! It's ironic that you've mentioned this as my turn signal has been known to stick.
Usually a driver will look in the direction he is about to turn.

Thought of a new one the other day and had to dig this thread up. Wont apply to everyone. Your a smoker. Your parked in a ts when a placarded truck parks next to you. What do you do when ya want a smoke?
-
You have a good point there. I would move, if I smoked, just to be safe.
-
Yeah, as gashauler would point out, 25' from any placared truck. If the lot was packed id probally take a walk. But i did see one guy pulling a dry bulk tank with class 1 explosives (gunpowder i would assume) light up in his cab.

Keep them doggone High Beams turned off day or night unless absolutely needed.

Keep a constant scan around you and always expect the unexpected.
Proper trip planning so you know what exits you need and where your next turn will be.dirtyjerz Thanks this. -
Never assume. It makes an ### out of u and me. T-boned a Subie last week in town w/ personal car. Got out ask her why did you pull out in front of me? "I could'nt see". Wrong answer! For christ sakes a guy can't even drive a car in town anymore. I can't imagine the stress of operating a truck these days. No thanks.
Wargames Thanks this. -
You are right okiedokie. I just assumes it was gun powder cause i dont know what other explosives would be in a dry bulk tank. Either way, no smoking around class 1, or any hazmat for that matter.
-
Not really directed at you dirtyjerz. But your right better safe than sorry.
Wargames Thanks this. -
Another real safe way to drive, Dont drive automatics.
dirtyjerz and Giggles the Original Thank this.
