No, it's not a list of bottom feeders, merely a list that someone would possibly make up at the beginning of their career if they neeed training and had to get it through a company program. Not the greatest, but a reasonable list.

Thanks Burky for pointing this out. I can think of several others I would rather drive for but, all require a minimum of 1 yr. exp. These places will hire you right out of the gate. Unfortunatly, I did go to USX and sat for most of the 2 weeks I was there listening to other drivers complain about low miles and consistant truck issues. Even my trainer suggested getting out while I still could because I would not make any money at USX. This I guess is another experiance that I bet a lot of newbies go through.

    Well

    1) Decker Transport (I guess I have to put them...since I'm fixing to go training with them
    2) MCO Transport (Handles a lot of Container Freight and some bulk out of Wilmington)
    3) Ezzell (NC/SC based Regional Carrier with Local Thrown In)
    4) Schneider (From one training carrier to another?)
    5) One of those companies that hauls boats up and down I-95 :D

    Such a noob

If I were a grad,{I'm not, read my welcome wagon thread.} My top 5 for otr would be; Transport America,Schnieder,Crete,Averitt,Western Express/Decker tied for 5th. On the back burner which is turned off, would be Swift and JB Hunt. This is based on where I live.{near I-295,I-95,Pa/NJ Turnpike} These are the trucks I see on the road every day. There are others, but I can't think of them right now. Averitt is the rarest. For ltl my top 5 is; ABF,Roadway,Yellow,Old Dominion,Estes. I'll add UsXpress as an alternate for otr.
