    Hi ya'll,
    I am trying to help my brother in law find a good company that can get him home every weekend in Michigan. He is currently driving dry van for a company that is going out of business soon. He has an excellent driving record and history for the past 11 years. Does anyone know of a good solid company that you would recommend? He might be willing to give flat bed a try if need be. Thanks a bunch

    It would be easier if I knew where in Michigan. It's a big state and there are lots of jobs. But, I can't make any decent recommendations without a little bit of directional assistance from you.

    He is actually fairly close to the Flint area. My first thought went to Roehl but I remember that when my husband applied with them, we lived too far north. but we were quite a bit farther north than my brother in law lives.

    NTB gots 90 trucks and its not a bad company but justs so you know last week they said they was full for the next 3 weeks and they start out at 28 cpm or 31cpm...garner is hiring i know

    Wouldn't happen to be JDC Logistics would it?

    I spoke to a guy from MI last week about it, he says they're reforming as something else. we did have an opening like that, but it's been closed for recruiting for a couple days now.

    I was going to suggest MPH, out of Fremont (near Muskegon). They get their drivers home for weekends.

    JDC is going out of business? Anyone else hear this?

    JDC is filing for bankruptcy but apparently they have already formed another company. He's not willing to put much trust in the company now though. They had asked him to take a few pay cuts.. hard pay cuts! I did send him the link to the NTB website.. and has anyone heard anything about Churchill from Detroit? Also was looking for info on a company called Mexus out of MI but found nothing but an address and phone number. Mr. Dude.. I am wondering if you spoke to my brother in law LOL. Are you with one of the companies that are mentioned here?

    Dude is a JB Hunt recruiter, but don't hold that against him! ;)

    Churchill, from what their drivers have told me, is a run your arse-to-the-wall type outfit. But they do seem to have decent equipment, and their drivers have been reasonably happy.

    If he wants to move to the other side of the state, we are always growing and hiring at RMI, but you have to live within 50 miles of ther yard in mattawan. I have been w/ them forawhile and very happy
