Ok, so I finally got off the truck and got myself home after 3 months on the road. Now they said they would get me on another truck. I just think I should wait if I can for my son to be born. I spent 5 days at a truck stop in bolingbrook il to get home. The truth is I don't want to go back but I need to finish my contract. I also don't know if they will allow me to stay this long until the baby I have 3 weeks to go and know I will miss it if I go with them plus i will need dna should I just go back now and get my new truck or wait? Will they take me to finish my 6 1/2 month contract? Do I still have a job?

So, you're 8 months pregnant and want to get back "out there" ?
-
this is a question for your dispatch manager no?
ask them, you might be surprised!
most of them probably have kids themselves and probably will work with you.
-
Why do you need DNA?
-
You're asking the wrong people. If I were you I'd sit down with the bosses at the company and explain your deal. Ask them what you can do and can not do. If you come across as if you really want to work the problem out with them then they should fully undertstand why you have come to them. Good luck.

I will talk to them my dispatch are really cool I'm glad to get the home time finally. I have another. question I have would it be stupid. for me to get an apartment. I stay with. my girl but I can be put ou any time we are not married. just asking for advice

bigwuz, having a child is a pretty big thing. I can't see ANY company not making dang sure you're home in time so you don't miss the big event.
I don't know how you came to this conclusion, lol. -
If you go most of the year without the apt then why would you want to throw money away. If you can have an address and stay there the few times it sounds like you'll be there then I would say no to an apt. But you must have a place to stay because the last thing you'll want to do after coming off the road is look for a place to rest. So my answer would be no if you have a place to stay and yes if you do not.
