I am based out of Ohio(OTR not regional). I run mostly eastern, from Maine all the way down I-95, I go to Laredo a lot and run midwest also. I am on my way to Kansas City right now. Never been further west than Laredo. I did get a load to Colorado once but my DBL took it off me before I could pick it up so he could get me back to Ohio to pick up my new truck.

Being in the east, like the other poster said, you will run mostly in the east, but they can and will send you anywhere depending on where the freight is. He is pretty much spot on with the miles to.

    RoadCall Thanks this.

Just curious, where are you getting those Laredo loads from? Anywhere in particular that has a lot going to Laredo?

Funny thing, I was talking to a recruiter(not Schneider) that was telling me they strictly run east of the Mississippi. Then he tells me they have a lot of loads going to Texas, lol. I was like WTF?

Most of the loads that go into and out of Laredo are car parts. Chrysler loads go up to Warren MI, if you take a load up, you bring one back, nice run. Anything that goes into Mexico with Schneider will get picked up and dropped off on Laredo.

I have picked up all over to drop off down there, always get a Chrysler or GM load coming out.

Wow, that sounds nice. Good old fashioned trucking, not that regional garbage.

Hell, last month I caught a lot of huge loads. Ended up getting a 1000 mile run from IA down to San Antonio, caught a 1300 mile run from TX to Socal, then a 1300 mile load up to the Canadian border, then a 1800 mile load from WA down to El Paso, then back out to CA, a couple of 800 milers before I got a 2100 mile load back home. That was a good 23 days, 10500 miles.

Wow, that was a nice 23 days. I'm glad to hear its available even if it doesn't happen that often. Just nice to have a change of pace every now and then.

    Schneider pay practical or HHG?

HHG. However, it seems that ever since they switched over to the new system the paid miles have increased for whatever reason.

They run all three. They just bought 3300 new cascadia's, they still have a lot of old centuries, and the columbia's are gliders.
