You must have snapped that up. That is the only reason you would be posting all that information here.
-
Wow
Do you always get that excited over $1.42 per mile load.
1500 for 1054 miles
Not that big of dealkeepntruckin and Sonbell Thank this. -
I agree with Land Shark. That rate sucks. By the time you pay your fuel insurance and maintence etc; You made a profit of around $.02 / mile. You blow a tire and you go in the hole. You should really be proud of that rate. Good Job. Nothing should move via truck for less than $2.00/ mile. Gotta educate these people on REAL cost and NEVER rely on your tax return for you years profit.

Spoke to a guy a few weeks ago hauling a load from Yuma,AZ to NY for $1.45 a mile. He thought he was in high cotton. I just shook my head. I guess some guys don't figure there costs, plan for mainteneance and tires, want to turn a profit, retire someday and then get a rate that includes all those on top of a wage. Maybe as long as he has fuel in the truck and enough money to eat at the end of the week he figures he is doing good.
FREEBRD Thanks this. -
I was grumpy when my second load with my shinny new flat from Yuma to Chicago was only paying $2.10 per mile. Justified with my first ever load to Yuma at over $3 per mile. Sad thing was in both cases had people pulling same loads that did it for under $2 going down and $1.25 going back.
