    L o n g sticks and toothpicks?
    Hmmmmmmm ------

    Good point NW.
    I hadn't considered that possibility.

The remainder of this post is an
    Imagination Test.
It is not mandatory that y'all take the test,
or, for that matter, that y'all are in possession
    of any imagination at all.

If I was a dispatcher and the driver of that Big l o n g Big truck was on my board, ..... and with April first just around the corner, I'm afraid I couldn't resist makin' up some phony BOLs:evil3: for a pretend load of overhangin' material destined for New York City, ..... just to witness the expression on their face as their lower jaw hits the floor........... Say WHAT?! :smt107
Are you outta your cotton-pickin' mind?!
    :smt091 :tongue3:

Well, .................... actually, ........ the answer to that question is
    yeah.
    :toothy5:
    I mean, ........ what else would explain why I'd imagine I'm a
    dispatcher? :smt102
    :smt017:smt102 :biggrin_25523:

    AfterShock afterthought, .....................
    Imagine that Big l o n g Big truck pullin' a
set of doubles, --- or triples.

    ShuX HowdY!
A driver sittin', gittin' loaded would be
half way to their destination before even
    leavin' the shipper.

    NWMAXI and otherhalftw Thank this.

It was a rigid/straight truck that they took the body off and added a fifth wheel to.

While he couldn't understand how the ladies knew anything at all about trucking when they told him his driveshaft was too short, he decided since they ALL said it, he would have to do something about it.

You can see quite a few of those stretched out cabovers running the left coast. Many start out hauling steel that hangs over on the front and rear. I don't know if that is the case in this situation. A longer wheelbase can greatly affect the ride.
