I don't mind tarping but I hate moving the tarps around when I'm not using them. You would think I'd have figured this out by now! LOL

We haul a lot of pvc pipe that always requires smoke tarp unless it has underneath exhaust. I asked whats the point new trucks don't smoke? They told me it's cause of heat, it will actually discolor some of the pipe. I have a weed burner so I don't need it but the guys that do carry tarps bout 4x6 just big enough to cover 1 rack, the forklift guy puts the rack on the ground for them to tarp. Very easy to do it like that compared to using a full size tarp.

SHC Thanks this. -
Ive got a 26x16 and a 28x16, but no smoke tarps yet. I don't have anywhere to put them. And once the new APU gets installed I'm going to have to take the ones I got out of my side box and leave them at home till I get some boxes for my trailer.

I no longer carry my 8' drops.....
I have 6'...4' and my Smoke Tarp....
Nobody pays me enough to bring the 8'....And many times...Brokers will say you need an 8' when a 6' will be more than enough to cover the load....
And believe me....If you're over 45...Your body will thank you for that....
aiwiron and IH Truck Guy Thank this. -
Being older also and lazy,,,, well just tired of humping lumber tarps with 8' sides we found 4' lumber tarps with 4' skirts worked better. More crap to haul and keep in repair but less humping, those things that set the young and strong apart from the people like me. Tired and older
