I am personal friends with Whitey and he said things were a little slow over the winter but have picked back up now. When I talked to him the other day he is averaging around 3000 miles per week. I think he said he ran 3200 last week.

I have never read anywhere on here about the Millis guys saying they were not getting enough miles and I have been following that forum for about a year and a half now. Like all companies, they do have slow times which are out of the companies control.

I'm not saying its not true in that drivers case, but I have a couple of doubts about that thread but I will not go into it. I have heard of a couple people getting around 2k miles a week, but I don't know the situation and it was just a couple (2) of drivers. For the most part all my partners in crime are averaging 2800-3200, give or take a little.

If you come out here and are not afraid to work, I'm sure you will run more than 2k miles a week. Exception is home time, those weeks can be crappy sometimes.

Dont let that post discourage you. That is only 1 post compared to how many threads are posted that say otherwise?

Thanks Bear, that is the info I was looking for.

I know comapnies go through slow times, but I also know of companies that were really good then suddenly take a turn for the worse for whatever reason.

Right now, I work for a company that seems to give the miles to drivers who are willing to " bend it a little" on their log books.

I want a company that has the miles, and also wants me to drive legal.

I only want to make one more company change, that's the reason for just being careful before I switch.....

Its all fun and games with a trainer but when you get your own truck its different. This is my first time on this site true so I did not know how to do my own post.(thanks I will do it next time) they were a good starter place but not long term (for me) so I'm just saying what has happened to me that's all. Oh and when my little girl was in the hospital I got told word for word "your a truck driver first NOT a father or husband. Now get back on the road and make Millis money" that's when I started looking for better. Thanks bye!

well now i know it was all on you. I can see it all now. You are one of those complaining truck drivers that cry all the time about when can i get home time. I am sure no one told you that sentence you posted. find a different forum to troll in. I read your post in the Knight forum and i think if you are only getting 1900 miles a week its because you dont run hard enough. it doesnt matter what company you work for, if you dont work hard you will get crap miles. same for pretty much any job. if everyone else is averaging 2800 and you are only getting 1900 there is probably something wrong with you.

Lets be nice and keep it civil. No need to be bashing anyone. If that's his story and he's sticking to it, nobody knows any different. Focus on getting the info you're looking for or posting any pro-active info you have to pass along. With any open forum you're going to have some negatives.
