Glad things are still working for you.If you stay on DG try to stay withthe Ardmore DC.I worked out of Indianola and didn't mind the work of unloading the trl.Just wasn't getting enough loads each week aor enough miles.I would have the hrs. to run and get sent home.Just take your time backing in to the stores and remember GOAL.Most guys that have accidents on DG it is when backing into the stores. As you have some driving exp.everything should work out for you.Again Good Luck.

Sounds like you're doing real well uprrmn.Once you go solo make sure to get a cheat sheet of all the macros.

Well based on my experience with werner (veteran too 112th fires) werner considers veterans not as much... They count drill weekends as hometime and trust me after a weekend full of army bs the last thing you want to do is drive. Like the company good millage and fair treatment.

Almost all companies will say it's a no-no to have any booze in the truck, but if you're parked for the evening and there's a pub or bar/grill within walking distance (which won't happen too often, in my experience), you can have a drink if you want. The cops aint gonna come bang on your door yelling "I know you had a beer with that hamburger!" Nah. Please. You just gotta use common sense. Dont be getting back behind the wheel if youve had anything to drink. No two martini lunches or anything.

This subject has been covered in several other threads on her. That being said Every driver should have the "GreenBilbe"and know it FMCSR Part382 & 392.5 are a few to look at.
As for me I will wait until I'm on my home-time if I want a drink. No need tempting fate as the tolarances are so much lower for CMV drivers than they are for the idiot 4-wheelers out there on the road.

Update since my starting orientation with Werner. Today is April the 7th and I'm still working on completing my 140 hrs of training with my 2nd trainer. I have just under 60hrs left. It takes a while when your on a dedicated account due to the hours not driving but on duty not driving when unloading the trucks. But all is going well and I hope to be done my mid April.

    pattyj and LaBubba Thank this.
