In my class there was a guy who had to leave after three days. He wasn't that good in shifting because he hasn't drove for two months after cdl school. You should be good since three weeks ain't that bad to be away from driving a truck.

    Physical....road test...and tons of information.

Shifting on a rail crossing is an automatic failure.

If you're still there in Thursday morning. You'll be good to go as long as you haven't omitted some harmful information on your app.

That I don't know as I drove there and the guy that failed also drove there. As far as shifting while crossing a railroad track, I did hear a guy saying how he shifted while crossing the tracks and he didn't fail. I don't see how a company who invested so much money into you would just let you go for a mistake like that.

As long as you don't hit anything....you are fine.
As long as you stay cool and calm and coachable...you will be fine.
    It's basically a 3 week long interview...not a test, persay.
They are trying to see if they want you as a driver...
    number one thing.....be safe
Be safe and follow direction and you are 90% in.
I did not drive particularly well, but I kept a good attitude, tried really hard, and kept it safe...and I'm now solo on the road for Schneider.
Be safe..be safe and be safe...that is the key.

You do some yard practice, driving practice, and classroom. Then you take a test on it all. Then you go out on the road for about a week with a trainer. Then you come back and do final testing in classroom, yard and road. If you do good in backing and driving then some of the trainers will pass you on the tests without even taking them. Made it easy, but don't tell anyone :biggrin_25522:

Once you're hired, they didn't send people back on a bus, they gave them a rental car. Certain people going in the same general direction went together in one rental car, with the person living furthest away obviously having to return the car when they get home.

In regards to orientation, I wouldn't worry about it too much at all. You'll be fine.

They sent folks back from my orientation on bus.
Maybe it depends on the OC.
