Great thread everyone! i am learning quite a bit!

I am currently trying to lower my SWR's on my 4 wheeler... I have a trucker 2000 mounted on a ram/dakota hood mound. i can't seem to get the SWR's below 2:1. Everyone tells me i sound great on the radio and i have gotten some distance on a good day. Is the SWR at 2:1 bad or am i just being OCD about my SWR??

I am gonna get a ground strap installed for the mount to the frame just to see if it helps..

Just wondering, would it do me any good to switch from the 5" shaft to the 10" shaft to put the coil up closer to the roof line on my trucker 2000?

It's worth a try. I've bought a 22" shaft for my wilson 2000 to try on a Cascadia. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.
