Well it's crunch time people. I will be leaving for the wonderful world of Trenton next Sunday. I think i have everything i need for classes. I got everything on the list except rain gear. I may just grab a poncho or something. I am going to pack light for the 3 weeks of training seeing as how i will be home on the weekends. Then i need to figure out what all to bring when i go with a trainer. I cant believe the time has flown by. So if anyone will be there with me just say hi. My name is Mike.

I will start a new thread about my experience next week when the time comes. Until then be safe out there guys.

    Hey Samurai..
Don't know how familiar you are with Trenton area. There is a Thronton's on 127 in New Miami, 3-5 minutes from yard. Hamilton is maybe 10 mins. That is where the Walmart, Meijer, Kroger, etc are. They are all on West Main which is Ohio 177. A-lot of your chain restaraunts are there as well. Gas is usually 5-10 cents cheaper a gallon in East Hamilton. You can get that on High St which is Ohio 129. If you get a chance, make sure you go to Jocko's on High St. Good chicken. I think I saw where Bill the teacher has chicken on Wed. maybe that's where he gets it. He may go to New Miami and buy a live one and do it himself, lol. If you have any questions about the area before and during, PM me.

Just grab a raincoat or poncho if you feel the need. The gloves are a necessity and the road atlas.

I dont really need one do I? do they do a bunch of stuff outside in the rain? I have 2 pair of gloves and the atlas.

get a set of gloves that diesel and grease won't penetrate through.

I got Bass Pro shop's version of Frog Toggs for a raincoat. $20 and they are waterproof but they also breathe and are light weight. You will be working around equipment in the rain, hooking and unhooking, etc.

Its not a necessity, but if it rains you're still gonna be outside and wished you had something. Doesn't have to be the whole suit but I would at least bring a rain jacket to keep you dry should you need it.
