I started with Knight as my first trucking job. what a huge mistake. After being sweet talked and all that bs into going with them they hooked me up with a trainer. The trainer in question was a lunitic. He was constantly in verbal conflicts with outer drivers at truck stops. Drove like a maniac and actually pulled a knife on me because I grinded the gears!! I txted my boss " and yes I still have his response saved on my phone " he said I was the third student to come to him with these kinds of complaints. The third person!! Needless to say I got out of the truck and refused to get back in.
My second trainer slept all day while I as a new truck driver had to figure out where the hell we were going. He picked up ###### everywhere we went and drank.
Needless to say after almost having two very bad situations because I could not get his ### out of his bunk I quit. Knight called me and hooked me up with a third trainer who was outstanding. He taught me what I needed to know and I was out on my own after about 14 days.
The truck they sent me to for my first truck was abandoned in Georgia. This should have been a clue. 6 flat tires no oil or coolant. I spent a good part of the night getting all this taken care of.
They then sent me to Indiana to pick up a 7k pound load going to Los Angelas. They routed me through omaha where I noted a blizzard was coming through. They said dont worry you will be fine. Well all of you probably know what happened before I got to a good stopping place. My bunk heater broke and the truck would not idle because the sensor was ###### up. They left me there for 3 days!!!! 3 freaking days. Then after finally getting to LA the truck started blowing exhaust into the cabin every once in a while. They said oh it happens just roll down the windows..... So after 3 times of this I refused to drive the truck. Took it to a dealer and the turbo was all fd up and loose.
After getting that fixed they sent me back to illinois where my bunk heater broke again and they would not fix the sensor to idle the truck. after a few more days of this I told them I would quit if I did not get another truck or this one fixed right.
They said ok we will send you to mobile for a different truck. On the way to mobile they then tried to re-route me to PA. I called safety and got them involved and they got me headed south again. Now on my way to Atlanta I noticed my turn signals were not working. I told dispatch the bulbs were burnt out and they said stop at the petro and they would pay for new bulbs. I got to Petro where they wanted ME to pay for new bulbs and refused to issue a comcheck. Well they finally issued a comcheck when I refused to leave without working turn signals and I didnt care if the load was late or not. They paid for it the next day.
Got to atlanta and a storm came in I went to sleep woke up and put my feet down in 1/2" of water..... Everything in my truck was ruined. A hole in the fing sunroof I didnt know was there leaked. All paper work some electronics destroyed. Of course I got to the yard in gulfport and was told they do not have another truck for me unless I wanted on that stunk. That was the only truck they supposedly had. Of course they didnt want to help replace anything in the truck.
That company was a total KNIGHTMARE. they truck they wanted to put me in smelled like something died in it. There was two months I didnt make $800.00 the whole month due to constant breakdowns. I got home one time for 3 days out of the 4 months I worked there.
I finished my load to dallas from gulfport and quit and went to Schneider.
    So far so good.

Well I call BS. From the point somebody pulled a knife on your ### and his boss says oh well, boys will be boys. After that most common since thing to do for fear of one's own life would leave and call police press charges on driver and boss for endangering your life by putting you with somebody that he knows has pulled a knife on two other drivers and done nothing ++ You say you have that response still saved on your phone!! That is a huge liability that could have put you on your favorite beach for the rest of your life but no you just say put me in another truck and keep working for that company.. yea LOL..

why would you call dispatch about turn signals not working? you're supposed to call breakdown, and breakdown would have told you to go to the petro, and from there it all would have been between petro and breakdown.. and how do you sleep while you're truck is getting flooded? and where did you have your stuff so that water leaking through the sun roof in the center of the truck managed to get onto it? and that window is no where near the bunk so how did your feet get wet? why would they send you to Mobile, Al for a truck? there's no terminal there. the only thing we do there is deliver beer, and paper stuff for KimC. if you're out of Gulfport then the whole shop rant is garbage cause the little shop mananger there with the horrible people skills runs a tight ship..

Knightmare, You will be glad you changed to Schneider, they are a solid company. Good DBL's, good facilities and a lot of options.
