Goodness gracious all the attitude; when you could go to their new thing called a website; they have a 1-800# for folk with questions! Oh and you gotta love per diem...

 

Here's some free collegiate advice that I paid for that you will get for free!
Straightforward question; not really it's more like open question. Here's why... Marten pays on a sliding scale, which depends on your exp. looking at your post your a student so how much experience do you have? mth, 6mths, 3mths, none?? It's more than likely going to be a salary of X per week..

This is why no-one can answer you on the spot with your questionl, sir! Second, I have worked for them before coming the wonderful spot in afghan. land; so yes I speak from experience. Sliding scale and forced per-deim is why I won't go back........

 

You would probably be in the mid .30's range but that is with 1 year, don't believe they are taking students unless they have changed their ways since i was there last year.

 

if you go with them, be ready to have an extra 3 cents per mile taken out , on top of the the FORCED perdeim.
This 3 cents is thier 'admin fee' that take from you every paycheck.
Rotton ########, not onlyis most of thier otr freight on the rail, taking miles away from drivers,, they CHARGE YOU THE DRIVER to be on FORCED PERDIEM.
Stay away.

 

Thats no joke about the otr freight being on trains, one of the reasons i finally persued a new job. Go regional if you end up at Marten because if you go otr you will be upset alot because you will be sent 2000 miles away from home and then you get used as a regional driver wherever you get sent anyway.

They also use a sliding pay scale so keep that in mind, Skibum mentioned the forced perdium which i can't believe they are getting away with, and they generally run you decent for the first 6 months but it almost religiously falls off after that. Some current drivers claim to be making good money but their turnover rate just keeps going up so don't plan on making a career working for them.
