They are among the worst drivers of about any larger company Ive witnessed. I dont exactly know why they are named western express when they run the northeast all the time.

I'm not defending western express but I work for them and they are alright. They would be a great company if they paid more and didn't hire so many bad drivers. Corporate greed is trumping safety. I see too many big trucks speeding. Doing 65 or 70 mph in a 55 mph zone is unacceptable when smokey randomly bags your ashes !!!
bentstrider83 Thanks this. -
I just applied there today.. the requirements of 3 years otr, minimum of 25 years old and a "excellent" safety record seemed kinda high for only 32.5cpm with my 3 years... I dunno, I like the blue but maybe ill have to pass after reading this thread.. I'm tired of not being home or making money.. ill stay gone all year if I'm at least not sitting and running.

Western Express may be a joke, but it does seem like the Western Express drivers have taken things in their own hands to make the company safer for the public as well as them self's and Family's.I just seen a site put together by the drivers I think

When I worked for USX I had service done on my truck and they disconnected my wipers and did not recont when they where done. Don't know why they disconnected in the first place either I got about 250miles away and it started raining and oops, no wipers. They first told me to put rainx on the widow and get to a T/S LOL. Then after I got done chewing out the breakdown dude for the stupid sug they sent out a service truck who checked it out scratched his head and left without a solution. I drove with a spare wiper blade in my hand hanging out the window till I found a T/S bought a hex tool kit pulled the dash to find the wiper motor unplugged.
Now I always chk my wiper when I leave a service bay.
