Cruise America is one of the largest national RV rental companies. In the past they have provided "free" rentals to people to get them relocated. The units are not new, have a specific delivery date, and you pay all of the expenses and provide insurance. It's not a setup to provide work, it's designed to provide a cheaper vacation than renting the motor home. Not sure that's what your hearing, but it sounds similar.

Rental companies (RV) let you pick up from the factory and deliver to their rental facilities. I did this last year and am doing it again this year. I picked up in Indiana and delivered to Az. Had it for 10 days, paid the gas plus a daily rate of $20, insurance included. Plus the cost to fly there from Ca. Unit was brand new (38 mi) and was allowed to use all the features. This year I'm doing a slightly different version, picking up in Toronto and delivering to Calgary. Have it for 2 weeks with a 90% discount. Yes, have to pay airfare to Toronto and then Calgary to San Diego. But girlfriend is rich, no problem. I have since noticed another company doing from E.Indiana to Vegas/Denver/L.A. for 2 weeks usage for $1.00 a day plus gas. The rental units can be used, ones going to a dealer cannot. PM me if you want names.

wanted to post up that i finally got the companys name. its Apollo RV.

looks like they're an RV Rental company so they're just relocating their own RVs with the deals i mentioned in the original post.

It's actually a good deal, $1 a day plus gas, brand new unit, however you need to get to Indiana on your own dime, and home from wherever you drop it.
