No by barrel bottom I mean the guy that they could barely wait til breakup to layoff. The guys that no one really wants but have to take because no one else is handy. If you are hard working and don't know it all come on out an we'll get you a permanent job somewheres

Thanks man, i learnt quick enough on the log haul,.and then had some offers for the second year,.i can handle the trucking part ok,.off road hauling heavy etc,. but i don;t really know much about oil rigs,.and i want to get on with a large enough company that i'll get paid well after a bit of training, and i won;t have to chase my paycheques,.

Anyone know what flint offers as a starting wage in lloydminster or bonneyville for fluid haulers (vac truck etc)? Apparently it's hourly.

Last year I went in and talked to them. They said I would start out very near the top of there pay scale for running a semi vac. They Asked me what I wanted for wage, and when I asked for over $26.00 hour they huffed and said they couldn't pay me anywhere near that. Not sure where they were at.

I told the recruiter I wanted mid twenties or better. I guess I'll have to wait and see what they have in mind. Is housing still pricey in Lloyd?

Very high $900.00 for a one bedroom. IF you can find one. A lot of boarder rooms here but hard to find also.

Where are you that Flint pays that much? They told me they pay hourly when I talked to the recruiter. What type of work do you do?

What flint does in lloydminster, there's probably 6 other companies that do the same thing which pushes the rates down. Don't know if their a bad company to work for but they are the lowest paying one here.

    cariboo_kid Thanks this.
