They might help a 1/10th mpg when I installed them on my tractor only, but the main reason I like them is the improved stability in a crosswind and they keep the road spray off the drive tires from coming back up on my side mirrors. Don't ask me how something on the back of the sleeper fairing edge can keep road spray off my side mirrors up ahead them works, but it does. I quess it cleans up the turbulence bouncing off the front of trailer and down the side of tractor.
Around $200 for the Air Tabs and around 1 hour installing them was worth it and would do it again. -
More than a few people I have talked to agree with that Dice is saying. Haven't had anyone tell me the hurt economy. Study at U of MI (I think, maybe MN) showed no effect with cross wind. Only in winds less than 5 mph or head wind. I have been looking for that study for a week now. Mostly because it had a really cool video of truck in wind tunnel.

Are you going to try them on a trailer? or are you changing trailers all the time

Im guessing the real mpg would be on the back of a van/refer,,, i understand the concept and think i will try it on both the tractor and trailer.
