Thanks and I sure will. Just stopped in Joplin, Mo for a quick fuel stop and shift change. 580 miles to 309 from here. I should sleep like a baby. When we get to 309 it's just gonna be a quick drop and hook then off to Salt Lake for us. Be safe out there.

Im getting my assigned tractor now. I was speaking to the shop steward and he said he will work on assigning me a tractor, especially with the new ones coming. I am excited for this

Finished up my first sleeper run this morning. 6,500 miles for the week. I'm absolutely wore out but my kids don't really understand that feeling so they didn't allow dad to sleep in after I got home. Oh well, I'm gonna enjoy them while I can. Glad you got an assigned truck ACH. Take care of it and drive it like you own it.

@skinny I always took care of my truck like its mine so theres no complaints... I usually share one with the shop steward or the assistant when they arent using theres or not working. How much are you paid per mile, that seems like a lot. And yea the kids wont get that till older if they are still young. Im only 23 and dont have any lol. hope your partner is cool though, and how was it being a regular road driver for the company... this way if I ever transfer or have to go to the other terminal I might consider doing the road driver

@century i highly doubt it will have one lol, Im most likely getting a hand me down, but they do not care if you install one yourself. At least it will have air conditioning as all trucks have to have it or they are taken out of service till repaired

My partner is a very cool guy. He has 27 years with YRC and has a great amount of experience which makes me feel comfortable to sleep while he is driving. A road job here is what you make it. It can be very frustrating at times but others it's like being paid to see the country. Only difference is we get paid very well to do this. Right now we are paid .62 or .63 c.p.m. Not real sure. I don't even look at the mileage rate anymore but I will next paycheck and let you know. We also get an extra penny per mile to run teams which is nice. Happy trails to you this week. We are leaving at 09:00 tomorrow morning and we are heading to Tracy, Ca then back to Chicago. Let me know if you are on Facebook at all because I've been updating that at every stop so I will add you if your on that and you can see where we are at.

Yes I am on facebook, I will PM you my link for it. Also @Century if your on facebook too Ill PM u too

WOW thats more than my last gig was making per mile. As a regular road driver are the miles usually good, I know at first I wont get the nice runs due to senority. We had two guys, one used to run to cleveland, stay the night and come back, and the other did the hubs very very close by, but I heard he was paid hourly, and at the new terminal hes now on mileage but doing the same route.

I do like doing P/D since I enjoy being home at night and being able to do the things I can do, but my step father just got transfered from his job to a different state and I think my mom and family might be moving there... I dont plan on leaving where I am for now, so if I got an apartment, I would transfer the northern terminal and move closer to it in the northern county of where I am(terminal in next county). The shop steward also told me if I get laid off from 150 hes going to transfer me up there for line-haul.
