National Training FL

Day 7 complete. Spent the first part of the day practicing uncouple/coupling and pre-trip inspections. Have this stuff down pretty well now. After lunch went out to the backing pad. Now we are doing all the manuevers in a row. Alley dock is my favorite. Have a good handle on that. Parallel parking, getting pretty good at it. Straight line backing, no brainer. Offset backing is still giving me some problems, but I'm coming around. Long hot day today. Tomorrow will be heading out to St. Augustine I think. More road time....more later.

 

I haven't updated in a couple of days, sorry. Things are going good. Last week. Today we are going out for our night drive. Tomorrow we begin testing. Coupling/Uncoupling first, the written tests. Log books and safety regs. Thursday will be our skills test. Wish me luck!

 

Well here it is. Tomorrow we take our skills test and road test. Today I was able to practice backing some more. Still worried about the alley dock. We did the couple/uncouple test today. Passed that one, woo hoo! Also had the log book test and DOT test. Won't know the grade 'til tomorrow. Feel pretty good about them though. We also had Roehl talk to us today. Really like the sound of them. However, they might not hire drivers from my area. Trying to find out. Anyway, will post how it goes tomorrow. Wish me luck!
