-
dont worry youl do fine! be honest with them ABF is a very good paying company to get on with, have a freind who was with the old cfi for many years before they closed their doors he started out on the docks !st then they taught him how to drive. hope you get the job!!!
-
I interviewed with them last year, its the same thing as any LTL carrier, your on call, you work the dock, you run terminal to terminal one day, city P&D the next,
Not saying this is a bad thing, ABF, Conway, Yellow, etc pay a ### load of money to their drivers, its just how you start out...
ABF is union, if they hire you they will send you to Arkansas (I think it was were he said) for orientation and training (I beleive it was like 3 weeks or so)
this is even for city drivers...
Good Luck with them, as I said, it will seriously suck in the beginning but after some time on the board you'll be making some big money !!!! -
First thing they will ask you is what ABF stands for.
-
If they are like roadway was we had a booklet of like 20+ pages that asked many questions which were duplicate but worded differently to try and trick you mostly about theft and a bunch toward matching numbers to see if you will get trailers mixed up with similar numbers.
