I haul mostly equipment and well head testing stuff. I started with [8] 3/8 20' chains and 16 ratchet binders. After dragging those stinkin' chains around and having to deal with all the extra, I cut 4 of them in half and it makes it alot easier.

    So that's:

[8] 10' 3/8 chains with a hook on one end
    (4) 20' 3/8 chains with a hook on both ends
    (16) 3/8-1/2 ratchet binders
    (6) 3" ratchet binders

Thanks for the info. I know they haul some sort of lumber over in the Aliquippa Industrial park and deal with ESM.

I have a 53 ft step deck (with sliding spread) with 24 sliding winches (12 on each side)

I drive all over the country hauling a variety of things so here's what I carry for securement

24 - 4 inch straps (Kinedyne and Ancra brands are the best, IMO)

    10 - 2 inch ratchet straps (I use Ancra)

12 - chains (stay away from made in China)

12 - binders (4 ratchet and 8 snap) Stay away from made in China

    48 - corner protectors

100 - 21 inch bungees (USA made are the toughest)
