Just a tip for you guys.

When the driver in front of you at the pump walks back to your truck and ask if you are getting reefer.

He is NOT trying to sell you drugs. He is merely being polite. And making sure you have room to pull up for reefer fuel.

Trainers..... Please explain this to your trainees. And you won't have to wait for me to come back, for you to get reefer fuel.

    :)

    windsmith and xbmann Thank this.

danc694u I have a suggestion. Don't ask,go ahead and pull up far enough for ANY Reefer driver to get fuel for the Reefer. 99% of the time Reefer drivers will say yes they need reefer fuel when ask. I always fill my reefer tank when I fuel the truck and I don't work for Stevens.

    nascarchuck Thanks this.

I guess he assumes only Stevens has reefer trainees...

Actually I assume it was a Stevens that I was speaking to. And he was the dummy that said "No". Only to realize he should have said yes.

As for pulling up further, wasn't gonna happen. It was a tight lot and my nose was already past the line.

I would have had to park up before completing my transaction. Which I was fully willing to do.

THAT is why I took the time to ask. Others would have simple said screw it.

BTW.... The turnip truck left my house over 20 years ago.

I had to process that phrase for a bit before I got it. :biggrin_2559:

I usually just park after getting fuel before I head in to get my receipt.

I once had a driver in a long wheelbase Pete with a reefer call in and demand that I move my truck while I was in line getting a drink before I left. I pulled up a little past the line, wasn't enough for Mr. Supertrucker Apparently all he was buying was reefer fuel since he wasn't behind me when I went in and I was inside for maybe 5 minutes at the most.

I sympathize with the guys, I used to pull a reefer. So I make it a point to ask IF they pull in behind me.

But, if they pull in after I run in store. They on my schedule. Not theirs

Another driver posted on another thread. My electronic logs wasn't his problem.

He was probably they guy that called for you to move your truck.

    ;)
