    Heh I agree here....though for a little Ford Ranger I'd opt for a 302...it's lighter, smaller (physically) and doesn't make as much torque but makes more power higher in the RPM's...in a small truck for the street this is what you want. A 351 would be better suited if the rear were tubbed. :biggrin_255:

    worry more about getting a good antenna, coax and mounting system, then worry about the radio

    For that truck I would get a wilson 1000 roof mount and drill a hole. should be no issue for ground. Radio again depends on your budget but for less than $200 you can have a nice setup. Cobra 29 and a properly tuned antenna will far outweigh the money spent for the quality of the gear. Both items are rock solid and will last for years.
