Cuz i wouldn't want to drive it through any city streets. I like my single 53' trailer just fine thanks.

Driving a 40-20/maxi isn't hard if you don't overload your ### with your mind. It's just a lot of work. Driving a maxi on coast roads in the PNW is not as easy as you think. Many a driver has flopped that pup over in the corners with a high load of lumber. Or load it wrong with to much weight on the 4-6 axle bridge and jack knifed. Trying to stop 105,500GVW truck takes a few feet @ 60mph. Oh and then you've got the mountains in the Winter and like DD mention in town that truck seems to grow. They don't throw just any dude in the cab,you have to work your way into one. Yeah it's not hard anyone can do it.

 

I've seen a number of those on their side in the past few years but like said once you vget use to it and remember you can't backup very far you will be fine just don't let a ####y attitude over ride your but and end up hurt or worse

 

I've had the DOT in Cal, Donner , and Tenn, I-81 mm8, measure my King pin to axle length .both states have a max of 41' king pin to center of rear axle, was correct but close.
