We dont have to take a 34 restart if we run up to the 7th day wait till midnite on a 10off then it becomes the 8th day thats pro rated hours we can only drive what we drove that same day last week. Alot of companies use this method completely legal.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

May want to recalculate that. Since its 70 hrs in 8 days you don't get hrs back until the 9th day, which would be the hours you used up on the first day of the 8 days.

    Best regards

My company don'y do resets. But they will force you to do a split sleeper. Then when u r low on your 70 they give you enough runs for whatever hrs you gain at midnight and do that till hometime. My company is 100% legal. In fact whn you do a post you log that as 15 minutes rather then line 1.

There it is! Shouldn't that be the huge red flag to anyone right there.
Lease first, train Second(now they have thrown Team in there too) & drive last. The order of that is completely screwed up from the get go & anything that happens there after is all on the person who signs.

You know that, and I know that, but yer dispatcher don't give
a **** one way or the other.
You can quote him the DOT all you want.
Most drivers will wind up with the worst runs available if they tick
their dispatcher off to any length at all.
Or maybe he'll have you sit half the week just to make his point.
It's been that way for many many moons and not likely to
    change anytime soon.
As they always say, "thats tha truckin biz thar bud...it is
what it is, and what it is is what it is"...

Maybe where you work, but for the rest of us, not so.
I have been at it 19yrs, and have never found myself at such a crap place that makes me run illegally to just make a living.
It may have been trucking 30+yrs ago, but no longer. Mind, if your own driver record is a complete joke, then as you say, it is what it is.
