I have an 05 670 with an ISX450. Right below the compressor is a box I'm not sure what it is but it seemed like it was leaking air at the 1/4 line that goes to the turbo. It would leak the truck air down to 60lbs in about 10 minutes. While checking the fitting it quit leaking. I'm sure this will come back to haunt me but I'm not sure what the box is to figure how to address it. Anyone know?

That's the control for the variable vanes in the turbo. If it is blowing air out it has gone bad and needs replacing. That along with replacing EGR valves is a problem that plagues the ISX.

Thanks Haulhand. Where does the air come from, all I see is the line to the turbo and an electric plug on the left side. Trying to figure how this works.

Best I can recall the air runs into the control module from the air tanks with a line on the backside of the module. It's been a couple years since I had my truck with an ISX so I could be wrong but I had to change that module twice on it.

If its leaking from the fitting where 1/4 line comes in you can replace the fitting that's a common leak area

I hear that... already checked pricing, must be gold in there somewhere. Hopefully the fitting is the only problem.

Thanks all for the assist and info.

2005 ISX 500hp. I had the same issue. It was one of many air leaks. It's the push fitting. I walked over to the KW dealer only to discover that it's not fitted on their Isx, Volvo only. Can you post the volvo part number for the push fitting when you get it. The local dealer can't find it. Tks.

Sorry Burdisco, I had to replace the whole turbo controller to solve my problem. Fortunately I found a new controller on ebay pretty reasonably priced. That leak was solved, now I have another that I can't find (yet).
