yes but not a 30 minute break every 2 hours, and a 1 hour lunch . in an 8 hour shift, a union worker spends as much time breaking as he does working. works 4 hours, paid for 8. and gets paid 3x the hourly rate as a non-union worker. why should people pay more for less?

The dreaded po number,I have sat all day waiting for a po number.

 

C&S split load between two trucks. One PO. Only 1 truck got unloaded while I had to wait for a new PO. 24 hours. I did get detention pay

 

Unions don't stagger, everyone goes at one time. It is social time and they are the rudest people on earth - down with unions

 

SAMS IN LAREDO, TX

My driver was late for his appointment on a Thursday. The broker actually did not allow enough hours for driving after it took most of the day in NJ to load. Driver was refused at the guard shack, my driver told them he would wait and be the last unloaded truck of the day. Wouldn't budge for anyone. My driver had to sit from Thursday to Monday to get unloaded because the Mexicans don't work on Friday. NEVER WILL I SHOP IN A SAMS STORE EVER AGAIN. DID NOT RENEW MEMBERSHIP WILL NOT TAKE A SAMS LOAD. This was totally uncalled for

 

Union unload in DC this past Saturday. My truck was almost unloaded and dinner arrived at 445PM. Everyone quits working immediately and there was maybe 1/4 of the truck left. DOWN WITH UNION LABOR

 

JBS is a terrible place late loads over loads wrong appt times which brings me to the worst place A JBS load going to Greatwide Southaven Miss They don't let you thru the gate till 01:30 reciever wont do the papperwork till 03:00 then after the lumpers extort $160 you might be out of there by dawn looking at 50 more trucks lining the streets waiting to get in. If you don't get in you wait another 24 because then Greatwide loads there own grocery freight for the stores

 

Its because of the way Walmart/Sam's Club scheduling sofware works - unless they are slow and can work you in, you can guarantee that you won't be rescheduled for a minimum of 24-hours. They will let you in the gate 1-hour before appointment time, but you MUST be checked-in at the window in the CTO office by the appointment time.

 

I have had loads where, by the time I got loaded, I could not make the final in time(legally). One time if I stayed legal, it meant I would be sitting all weekend. So I made #### sure to get there before 5 on friday.

I'm out here to make money, not camp out all weekend.
